Print scalloped heart design. **Design is for personal use only**

Cut design to fit inside wine tote, close to edge of hearts. Using your Frixion pen, measure and mark the placement of the hearts on the outside of the bag to use as a guide: about 2″ down from the top, 1 1/2″ up from the bottom, and 1 3/8″ in from each side.

Place the heart design inside the bag aligning with the guides you made on the outside. Hold up to a window/light so you can see the design as you align it. Once in place, use a piece of tape to hold it in position.

Using a window or light box and your Frixion pen, lightly trace the hearts onto the outside of your bag. A general idea will do – it doesn’t have to be perfect, you can improvise the scallops as you paint. Focus more on making sure your hearts are centered on your bag.

You can keep the paper inside your bag to prevent the ink from bleeding through. Once you have your hearts marked on your bag you can start painting them in.

Paint using your Speedball fabric ink. Use your palette to mix different colors. If you have blue, yellow, red, white, and black you can mix any color you wish! Here I’ve used clay, olive, and black metallic ink colors.

Once your bag is dry, remove the Frixion pen lines with heat: an iron or hair dryer works great.
Tips:
Hold your work up to a light from time to time to make sure the ink is fully covering where you want it to.
Make sure you don’t drag your hand through the wet ink. If you do accidentally get ink out of place on your tote use a wet paper towel to wipe it off and then hair dry the water splotch (if you don’t dry it it may leave a stain on your bag).
Have fun!!
